Feeling Stuck in the Wrong Profession/Position???

Capture+_2017-03-20-22-17-03-1Well that’s not an uncommon feeling to have…nor it is a bad one. Many people later realize that they may not be working within their ideal profession, so if this is the case what should you do??? Of course before making any drastic decisions take time analyze your current position, and then to think about what else you would much rather be doing. This could be something that you enjoy doing already, but you’re not quiet sure about how to take this newly found talent or passion to the next level.

Well, I would strongly suggest stepping back and thinking about what it is you enjoy doing the most. I would like to think that we all have a hidden talent or two, because usually that is the case. So, with that being said what is it that you are truly passionate about? Often times we do have a passion outside of our regular careers and this should probably be the case, because having options is always a great thing.Think of it as your “back up” plan. Below I will list some steps to help you sort out what it is you may want to do differently.

Write Down Details…

Sit down and write it out. If you’re seeing it written on paper that will help you with getting a clearer understanding of what should be your next move. Think of this as you’re blueprint, because before you can build anything there has to be a guide as to how it can manifest into something better. It’s often said that when you write it down on paper…things become real, so let’s hope that this might be the case as well and that it will help to bring your ideas to light.

Of course being focused with all things that we do will be a success story waiting to happen. With the necessary amount of focus a lot dreams often come true. Depending on the proper amount of dedication that’s given to opening a new chapter in your life…anything is possible. Staying focused also means that you may need to distance yourself from certain things that can be looked at as being distracting. Remember to stay on task, because this needed focus can help you leave what’s not satisfying you and help to open doors for an entire new beginning. New beginnings can always be a great thing…stay the course!

I can’t stress the importance of research enough, but I will say that not only is it extremely important…it can be the guide for helping you to make the perfect career move or transitioning to a different role within your current position. Seeing if whatever your passion is and whether it’s in high depend is important when thinking about career moves. You may want to least make sure that this can be stable employment as well as being something that is also fulfilling. Remember the purpose of your research is to help you make a better career choice and or move. So, no need jumping from one thing that you’re not passionate about to another that could turn out to be the same type of situation that you’re currently in. Research and then research again until you think your next move will be your best move!

Talk With Family and Close Friends

Often those who are closest to us can see our passions before we do. So, talk your career concerns over with those individuals who you feel the closet with and then see what suggestions they have. They may help to point out some of your strong points you may have missed. Which is the perfect time for you to grab that pen and paper and write down what they say and suggest. Remember you’re just asking what they think about your decision to make a career move, so if that’s something you feel strongly about and you know that in the long run it will be beneficial to you…then in the end your decision is all that matters. Support is necessary, but be sure you’re the one in the end making the decision. In the end your career choice is important and so is your health.Being in a career that’s not fulfilling is unhealthy for you. So, remember your new career choice should be something that brings you peace and it fulfills you too. Always try to do what’s best for you and your well-being.

As always when I have a moment to sit and blog, I try to write what I feel others could be experiencing. So, I hope this blog was informative and that you got some insight as to how moving from one career is not just jumping up  and quitting one job to go to something that could be worst. Think it through as clearly as possible and know that your decision can be life changing and that too can be a great thing.
