Self Focus: Why it’s needed…

capture_2017-01-27-17-06-40-1When a person is truly focused on themselves it leaves no room for focusing on what’s not important. Too often we allow the outside entities to distract us from what’s really important. Putting focus on what others may or may not be doing can get you off the path of where you need to go. Yes we observe things this is true and it’s nothing wrong with that, but never be too consumed with what’s going on in your neighbors yard than your own. Watching how others move create the need for competition…when the only people we should be competing with is ourselves!  Then that completion creates envy and why??? Figure out what it is you wanna do and start working towards that. As I’ve stated before we all have different journeys for a reason, so trying to travel someone else’s path by competing with them isn’t important…it’s their path not yours. I am a true believer that all things happen in ourselves for a reason at a particular time. And maybe if it hasn’t happened for you yet…then it’s not your time. Focusing on others also create one of the parties involved being jealous of the other. This is the beginning of how relationships become droken and think about how worrying about the next person begins to take a toll on you.

When you have a plan that will help you reach certain goals…then there’s no time to focus on the Jones’s. And if you don’t have a plan what’s stopping you? Grab a pen and paper and start writing it out. The good thing about setting goals is that it can be done at your pace. First, have an understanding of the direction you want go. Once you know this then follow with the steps it’ll take to get you there. And lastly once you know where you want to be and what’s needed to get you there then put the plan in motion! Start to focus on reaching those particular goals and you soon will see that there’s no time to be worried about the next person. I feel that when people are too worried about how and what the next person is doing…it’s probably due to the fact that they don’t have enough going on in their own lives. Self focus is also good for health benefits. When your at ease with your self it has to be better for your health. Your in a peaceful place where you’re trying to make positive things happen and get you on that path to self fulfillment…naturally you’ll feel good about yourself and that’s great for health.

So, the next time you find yourself focusing and worrying about the next individual(s) remember that energy can be placed directly on you. Self focus is also apart of self care and we are trying to care for ourselves differently. Changing unhealthy behaviors is needed when we want to move to a new place in. Creating a better space for you and yours is the primary focus now.  Be sure to enjoy your journey while you’re on the way. Until next time…
